What were your struggles of first three months post child birth? Let us know!

For me, the first two months were full of confusion and learning. I really struggled with understanding how and when to feed my baby. I didn’t know whether to follow the doctor’s advice or listen to the grandparents’ experience — both sounded right in their own way. I would constantly wonder whether I should wake my baby from deep sleep every two hours to feed or just let him rest. Another big stress for me was trying to help my baby regain his birth weight after the initial weight loss. I used to worry so much about whether he was getting enough milk. Looking back, I realise these are very common worries

First three months was a real rollercoaster. Happiness, confusion, anxiety, sleeplessness, on top of everything was the so called relatives' unnecessary advices and their words of experience... Weight loss in first 5 days is common for newborns, but I didn't have this knowledge back then, or maybe my brain had just stopped working. Doctors said, weight loss more than 10% is uncommon, it was due to lack of milk, which was the result of postpartum diet followed in many houses. moreover my son was also diagnosed with jaundice. But parents obviously believe in what ancestors said. Both of them sounds right in their own way, but the strugglers are new moms, their situation will be like stuck in between the scissors, and mine was nothing different.

@Amrutha and @Shubhamark I can totally relate to what you both are saying. A new article on baby weight gain is coming up. hope that helps. Also, there is an article on whom to listen during pregnancy elders or doctors?. Please go through that article as well. See if it makes sense. Thank you
